| New York State Bill A10526
The purpose of the bill is to amend Article 23 of the Environmental Conservation Law (ECL), the State`s Oil, Gas and Solution Mining Law to provide statewide spacing for oil wells and horizontal wells, and to make other technical corrections to the statewide spacing provisions.
The bill was passed by both the New York State House and Senate and was signed by Governor Paterson's signature.
